Ensuite plumbing in travertine
Overview
A master ensuite lined in honed travertine, with a walk in shower and a stone bench, a linear drain along the back wall and mixers set into the stone. The plumbing had to disappear: every valve, waste and supply sits behind the travertine, and only the fittings show.

Project Details
We set out the ensuite with Tarnwood Builders before the frame was lined, marking every outlet to the travertine layout so the mixers would land on the stone’s joints rather than across them. Each valve body was set to the finished depth of the stone and its bed, so the trims sit flush.
The shower falls to a linear drain along the back wall, and the bench stays dry and level. Every line was pressure tested and photographed before the walls closed.
Fit off came once the stone was sealed: the wall set mixers, the shower head and the long trough vanity’s waste, each one run and checked for leaks before we handed the room back.
