Copper pipework for a cottage bath
Overview
A cottage bathroom where the pipework is the point: an exposed copper shower over a clawfoot bath and a terracotta basin on a timber stand under copper wall taps. The copper had to run straight and true, because every joint and bracket stays on show.

Project Details
Exposed copper leaves nowhere to hide. We bent and joined the risers on the bench, set the brackets on a level line and polished each run before it went up, so the shower reads as one clean piece from the floor to the rose.
The clawfoot bath stands free of the walls, so its waste comes up through the floor in the one spot the old joists allowed. The terracotta basin sits on a timber stand with its trap kept tidy and in proportion, because it shows too.
Marrable Constructions kept the cottage’s old boards, and we worked around them without lifting more than we needed.
