Lasting Finish

Overview

Ferrow Plumbing Co. is a small licensed crew that has worked inside Melbourne renovations since 2012. We care most about the parts nobody sees: the set out, the falls, the valve bodies and the pressure tests that happen before the walls close. Get those right and the finished room looks after itself.

Our crew of six licensed plumbers and two apprentices works to the builder’s program. One plumber leads each job from rough in to fit off, so the builder and the tiler deal with the same person throughout.

Our Services

Most of our work is renovation plumbing, planned with the builder and designer from the first set out. We also look after hot water, gas and repairs for the homes we’ve already worked on.

Bathrooms & Ensuites

Rough in set out to the tile layout, wall set mixers and in wall cisterns, and linear drains laid with true falls. Every line is pressure tested before the walls close, and we fit off once the stone is in.

Kitchens & Laundries

Sinks and mixers, filtered water, dishwasher and fridge connections, and laundry troughs placed where the joinery needs them. Gas cooktops are connected, tested and signed off before the kitchen is handed back.

Hot Water & Gas

Heat pumps, continuous flow and storage systems sized to the house and the people in it. We fit gas for cooktops and heaters, test every connection, and take the old unit away when we go.

Repairs & Maintenance

Leaks, burst pipes, blocked drains and dripping taps for the households we already know. We look first and explain the fix before we start, and leave the room as we found it.

The ensuite was the room we worried about most, and it went the most smoothly. Ferrow turned up when they said they would, kept the travertine clean while they worked, and two years on there hasn’t been a single drip behind the walls.

On an apartment job the program is everything. Ferrow measured the building’s pressure before ordering a single fitting, worked around the strata rules without fuss and finished their rough in a day early. No callbacks, no excuses.

I draw the mixers to the millimetre and Ferrow sets them there. On Asling Street they checked every outlet against the joinery drawings twice, rang me with questions before the slab was poured, and left the site cleaner than they found it.

We look after a lot of old cottages, and Ferrow is who we call when a job needs doing properly. They explain the fix before they start, they protect the floors, and the tenants ask for them by name.
